Hello Nurturer!
The essence of the Nurturer is as an Inner Sponsor
The strengths you can rely on as a Nurturer when you are at your best will typically be:
- Giving
- Devoted
- Reliable
Your strengths can show up as the following gifts:
- Generosity
- Giving amazing value
- Loyalty
But for all archetypes, if you carry your strengths and gifts to an extreme, there will be challenges.
A Nurturer who takes their strengths to an extreme may well exhibit the following:
- Feeling the need to rescue
- Abandonment of self
- Feeling resentful or becoming a martyr
What you can do to make the most of your strengths and talents and avoid the challenges:
Support can take many forms. If you can see others as powerful, you create the possibility for ways that are priceless beyond money.
The Nurturer’s challenge is to discover how to create boundaries, and to believe that by creating boundaries they are empowering others in ways that are priceless.
Some questions for you to consider:
If giving money were not an option for you, what other ways could you help the people who are important to you?
What are 3 relationships that (often) require your financial support and what would these relationships look like if you were not involved financially?
What would your life be like in 3 years, 5 years and 10 years if the support you provided others was not financial?
The aim is always to use your gifts and talents but without tipping over to an extreme. Therefore, I’m going to leave you with the following empowering mindset: Creating clear money boundaries is a powerful way for me to demonstrate my caring.
