The Preparation Service

We will assist in gathering all relevant data, both financial and non financial.

Here are a few examples:

• Preparation of the paperwork you require from your client

• Preparation of their budget, both income and capital

• Advising you on both parties’ pensions and investment holdings

• Providing an estimate of their mortgage capacity and monthly repayments

• Reviewing and advising on existing endowments and protection policies

The “What do I need?” service

To answer the question for your client “How much do I need from my settlement to lead the life I want to lead, and not run out of money?”

• We will discuss the life she wants to lead after divorce, and calculate what this will cost

• We will review and discuss with the client the financial implications of all settlement options you propose

• Once the divorce settlement is received we will carry out the recommendations

• We will advise on how to protect her maintenance payment in the event of her ex-husband suffering death or illness

The “Hand-Holding” Service

We continue to provide whatever hand-holding service she needs after divorce…for as long as necessary.

Here are a few examples:

• Hold regular meetings to discuss any concerns about finances

• Ensure she has updated her will and Power of Attorney

• Advise on tax issues – income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax

• Review the performance of her investments

• Act as a “second opinion” for any financial matters that may worry her

• provide a regular ‘reality check’ to ensure that she stays on track to achieve her aspirations and dreams.
